Biography
Veronika Peat (b. Moscow) is an interdisciplinary artist working across moving image, drawing and print media. Her practice is concerned with memory, history, and the post-migrant condition between women, where belonging and unbelonging co-exist. She uses the mode of documentary encounter to initiate an open process of intimacy, and draws in archival and appropriated visual, audio and literary sources to create a ‘feral’ archaeology, where the remembered and the interpersonal can be reimagined into new possible histories.
