David Mapp, an English composer living on the Isle of Man with his wife and young family, buries his most recent composition on Snaefell mountain to devote himself entirely to his children. He begins a new profession as a baker to help support the family. But unexpectedly his children bring the manuscript back into his life.

The film was made through summer 2020 during the prolonged isolation of the island from any outside visitors. The director, located in England, encouraged David and his family to film themselves using mobile phones. The result is a work of collaborative film-making created under challenging circumstances and where unexpected events emerge out of this open, mutual and trusting process. Blasty uncovers treasure hidden in the midst of this young, creative family.
